It’s getting close to the big day, and even though you have shopped until you dropped, there may be one or two last-minute presents you have not got as yet. Here are some easy homemade gift ideas for you to complete your presents list.

Homemade Bath treats

These are simple to make and very appreciated by the recipient.

Bath salts

Get Dead sea salts, Epsom salts and Pink Himalayan salt, you can buy from here and mix together in a bowl. Put a few drops of lavender oil in and shake the salts up to mix. Put in a pretty jar and tie a ribbon around.

Bath bombs

You can easily get a bath bomb kit, or mix together the bicarbonate of soda and citric acid powder together in a 2:1 ratio. Add some drops of your favourite oil or perfume and press together in a mould and leave to dry.

Homemade sweets

These quick and easy treats are a wonderful gift for anyone! Pop them into bags and make up pretty labels.

Shortbread Bites

Beat 125g of butter and 55g of sugar together in a bowl, add 180g of flour and mix into a smooth paste. Mix in some sugar strands (100s and 1000s), you can get red and green for a festive twist. Spread the mixture in a baking tray and cut into 2cm squares. Bake in an oven set at 190C/375F/Gas 5 for 15-20 minutes.

Winter Gingers

Buy a pack of ginger nuts and a block of white chocolate. Melt the chocolate and dip a third of the gingernut biscuit in. leave on some parchment paper or greaseproof paper to set hard. Works well with dark chocolate too.

Reindeer noses

Pick up a bag of Maltesers. Mix up some icing sugar and water, with red food colouring. Count out 9 Maltesers and dip one in the red icing to cover it, leave this one to dry on parchment or greaseproof paper. Now you have 9 reindeer noses. You can repeat as many times as you wish.

We do hope these ideas have helped you. If you have any you would like to share with us, let us know and we’ll add them to the list.
