Leeds Festival Tips

Leeds will be with us soon. August bank holiday weekends, should always be spent in Bramham Park, chilling with friends and catching some of the greatest bands and acts. This year we have Kasabian, Muse and Eminem on the main stage, to thrill our ears. We, at Sheffield property to let, want you to have the best time; however, we know some of you may not have a problem free weekend, so, we present some tips here to help you.

Camping

There are so many choices today, or whether to bring your own tent, or book a bit of glamping in an octapod or podpad. If you choose the latter, then they come with secure camping pitches and locks on the pods. If, like most of us you are slumming it in one of the campsites, you will be surprised at how many tents are blue or orange, and if you get confused with blue or orange campsite, then you are lost in a sea of over 5000 tents! You may want to look at marking your territory clearly, so that even in the dark you can find your tent. We suggest making a bespoke flag and attaching it. Keep your belongings secure.

Do not bring anything you cannot afford to lose.

It is a sad fact that there are some among us, who see the festival as an opportunity to take things, which do not belong to them. Theft is rife, and people have lost everything on the first day. If you are a subject of crime, then do report it and head to lost property, usually within the welfare tent. They can take care of you and assist you to contact home and arrange either a pick up or some money to tide you over the weekend.

Sex, Drugs and Rock and Roll

You are young, and enjoying all that life has to bring, some new experiences are offering themselves every day and the festival offers more than most. Condoms and advice on most sexual matters can be sought from welfare, along with sanitary protection. Advice on drugs is also available and the crew has seen it all before. Please check out their advice first before you think about trying some of the array of drugs. If after all that you find yourself out of your depth and on a high you cannot ride out alone, then again head to welfare, where they have a crash facility. The medical tent is usually just next door, and should you need further assistance, the staff will transfer you. Tragically, a young man died at Leeds Festival last year.

Food and Drink

Plan to cook for yourself, as festival food prices can be high, and you do not want to buy too often. There is a shuttle bus to the supermarket, and so you can pop in each day to replenish stocks of both food and alcohol.

Enjoy Yourself

For the vast majority of people, Leeds festival is a smash, and they have the wildest and craziest time, enjoying the atmosphere, fairground rides and chillaxing with their many new -found friends. This is what it is about, and so, may we wish you the best time ever this year.
